In this video, I’m going to share with you 3 things that I wish that I had started doing A LOT earlier which will definitely help you get better mixes. There’s a lot of great mixing advice out there on youtube about compression, EQ, and various other techniques you can use to help you get better mixes, but I feel like the stuff that I cover in this video is in a sense even more important. It’s all about monitoring and putting yourself in a position to know exactly what you’re going for and accurately hearing the music you’re mixing. These 3 things greatly improved my mixes, and I know they will do the same for you!
My suggestion is that if you’re saving up for a specific plugin or piece of hardware, that you use that money for acoustic treatment instead. If you’re wanting to mix your own music I think it’s much more important than whatever new piece of gear you were planning on getting is. Hope you enjoy the video.
