How do I search for videos?
Once you are on the homepage or clicking in the Videos link, use the search bar at the top to enter keywords related to your search. When you are done just hit ENTER or click the Search button. The search function will filter video titles, descriptions and any tags the video author might have included.
How do I view a video?
All videos on the homepage, are arranged in a grid layout with a video thumbnail image and the date of publication. You can use the search field at the top to look for tutorials that interest you. For more info, please see the “How do I search for videos?” FAQ section. Click on the main video image or title to view the video in a new page. From there, you can share it on social media and bookmark it for future reference.
How do I share a video?
From the homepage, clicking the video title underneath the image thumbnail will load the page for that particular video. From there you can share the video page from the icons on the right of the video (or underneath the video content if you are on mobile view and have restricted screen estate).
Can I control the video playback speed?
Even though most of the embedded videos have (like the ones from YouTube) have playback control options, we would also recommend a great browser extension available for both Chrome and Firefox browsers. Once installed, you will have access to customizable keyboard shortcuts to control the playback speed of the videos, in case you want, for instance, to slow down the video speed to better observe a certain part.
The addon is called Video Speed Controller.

How do I create an account?
How do I save my favorite videos for later viewing?
There are a couple of ways of doing that!
One method is to either create an account with us and log in or just log in with the social login icons available on the login page. If you make use of the social icons login, please make sure that you always login with the same social profile otherwise the site will not be able to remember your saved playlists! You would then be able to save videos and also organize them into playlists.
On the individual video page, just over the video player, you will see a bookmark icon . Clicking on it a window will appear where you can create playlists and save the video into one or more playlists. From the same window, you can also rename or delete playlists. When you delete a playlist, all associated videos that had been added to that playlist will also be removed! You can also visit the My Playlists page where you can view and manage videos and playlists in a similar fashion. On that page, you can either click the video thumbnail image to launch a modal window with the video in view or you can click the video title to go the individual video page for more detailed viewing.
A few of the social share icons available on each video page will also allow you to share videos into your social profile and organize them from there. Instapaper is a good choice since it also allows you to organize shared URLs into folders. Another good choice is Pocket which will allow you to save your video pages and organize them by applying tags to each particular saved item. For Firefox users, the Pocket icon should already be visible on the right side of the URL bar ready to be clicked!
If you know of another social share service that could be used instead for video bookmark management and it’s not already available on the website or if you need any help with the existing ones, just let us know and will try and help or add your proposed service as an option!
Can I bookmark my favorite videos without creating an account?
Sure! You need to be logged in with a social profile though.
Once done, just click the video’s title underneath the video image to navigate to the individual video page, while viewing the grid on the homepage. Then, share the video from the widget area on the right of the video (or underneath the video content if you are on mobile view and have restricted screen estate). Most social share sites have the functionality to save shared URLs for later viewing. If you know of another social share service that could be used instead for video bookmark management and it’s not already available on the website, just let us know and will add it as an option!

We would be happy to do that as well! Just email us a title and the content of the article along with a suggested image. Preferred image dimensions are 1200 x 400px. If no image is sent, we will create one for inclusion in your article. Please, also send us a link you would like to include in the article (eg, your website, portfolio site, or blog page). If you would like to include an article already written by you on a different blog, please provide a link to it and we will publish an excerpt with a link to the website where the full article can be read, once we have verified article ownership. If you just want to send us a link to a related blog post that you think it would be a good idea for inclusion, please use the contact form to send us the link and we will take it from there!
